Terms and Conditions

1. The Service

TravTrac.app is a travel budgeting tool designed for project-based trip tracking. By using this service, you agree to these terms.

2. License Tiers & Usage

• The Trial: You may use the app for free during your planning phase and for the first 15 days of your "Travel Start Date".
• Paid Tiers: Access is granted based on the tier purchased (Tourist, Traveller, or Lifetime).
• Lifetime Access: This refers to the lifespan of the TravTrac.app product. Should the service be discontinued, you will be notified 90 days in advance to export your data.

3. Data Ownership & Privacy

• Your Data: You own your data. You may export your raw data or analysis at any time. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• Authentication: We use Google/Firebase for secure authentication. We do not store your passwords.

4. Inactive Account & Cleanup Policy

To keep our infrastructure sustainable, we implement a 2-year cleanup policy:

• Accounts that have reached their "Travel End Date" and have had no further trips created for 24 consecutive months are considered inactive. This does not apply to Lifetime access.
• Inactive accounts and their associated trip data are subject to deletion.
• We will attempt to notify you via your registered email 30 days prior to any data deletion to allow you to export your records.

5. One Trial Per Person

Free trials are limited to one per individual. Deleting and recreating an account with the same or different email to circumvent trial limits is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

6.1 Paid Subscriptions

For paid tiers (Tourist, Traveller, Lifetime), refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Generally:

• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if the app has not been used during a "Travel Start" period.
• Once a "Travel Start" date has passed and tracking has commenced, no refunds will be issued.

6.2 Early Adopter / Promotional Access

Access granted under the "Free Year" promotion or any other $0.00 promotional tier:

• Has no cash value.
• Is non-refundable.
• Cannot be exchanged for credit or cash.
• May be revoked if the 2-year inactive account policy is triggered.

7. Limitation of Liability

TravTrac.app is provided "as is". While we strive for 100% accuracy in your budget analysis, users are encouraged to maintain their own backups via the export tool.
